The Nelson Knee-Knobbler - Event 1 - Saturday 30th March 2019

The Nelson Knee-Knobbler - Saturday 30th March 2019

After the amazing success of the 1st Nelson Knee-Knobbler in October 2014 - the feedback was so great from everyone who ran and such a fantastic time was had by all - we’ve decided to put on an annual 3-race series! - and 2019 we promise to be a bumper year..!

This year we move our first event of the series to another wonderful part of our Norfolk coastline - this time the setting of Caister Beach, Norfolk.

The event starts and finishes right outside the Lifeboat Station of the Caister Independant Lifeboat Crew - note the word 'independent...!'

Starting right outside of the lifeboat station, both distances head north up towards California - yes, we've said it - the only event in the UK where you can almost get to California!

You'll run along the beach with your toes inches form the sea, and for some of you maybe even in the sea if you don't get your timing of the waves washing in right!  Up to a turnaround point where you'll come back weaving in amongst the dunes, searching for the direction flags as you go - taking you back towards the lifeboat station after another brief spell on the sand towards your short distance finish.

For the 'Go Long' guys, then it's time to wave goodby to the finish as you head out for a lap of the southern area and down towards the dune complex of Gt Yarmouth.  This is where you'll about turn and head back towards Caister, weaving in and out of the dunes as you go with the finishing flags in the distance - beckoning you to your well deserved finish!

The Nelson Knee-Knobbler events are truly amazing, beautiful, challenging, highly unique and above all HUGE fun...!
